The World Health Assembly is the decision-making body of World Health Organization, an affiliate member of the EiE Hub. It is attended by delegations from all WHO Member States and focuses on a specific health agenda prepared by the Executive Board. The main functions of the World Health Assembly are to determine the policies of the Organization, appoint the Director-General, supervise financial policies, and review and approve the proposed programme budget.

The Health Assembly is held annually in Geneva, Switzerland, and this year takes place on 18-23 May.

On 21 May, the EiE Hub, together with the WHO, UNICEF, and UNESCO, will be organising an event on the margins of the World Health Assembly, entitled Advancing Child and Youth Health through Education, including Ending Violence in and through Schools. You can find more information here.
